The reason I ask you that is because there are a lot of people that seem to have the impression of simply being able to grab whatever product you like, slap an affiliate link a couple places and you’ll be making tons of cash overnight.

Trust me…if that’s how things worked, we’d all be in line at the bank tomorrow waiting to cash in.

The truth is—no matter what market you’re planning on selling to—you’re going to also need one very important element.

As a matter of fact, if you’ve been around for even a little while…you’ve probably been beaten over the head with a number of clichés—including—“content is king”.

I would even guess that for some people, if they had a dime for every time they’ve heard that saying, they wouldn’t even want or need to get into affiliate marketing.

Because it takes time. And for most, a lot of it. That requires patience and without it, many don’t bother to stick with it to get the results they could have.

- Pick a topic you’re interested in. If you’re not interested in what you are promoting, trying to build sites about it will be about as fun as getting teeth pulled.

- Find out what people are buying. Check out lists of popular products on sites like Amazon and eBay to get a feel for what’s selling.

- Locate a merchant that carries those types of products. But don’t limit yourself to just one merchant. Add products from several to give your visitors a choice.

- Build a content site for your new niche. There’s that word again. Be sure to make your site as educational and entertaining as possible.

After all, building your sites with quality information is the only way to make your content “king”.

Otherwise, you’re just going to end up being another obnoxious marketer spamming every person you get the chance to…all in the hope of making a sale.

That’s not the way you want to go. It’s much better to give your visitors value so they get more than just a pitch when they arrive at your site.

You see, for every piece of content you’re adding to your website you are also increasing your search engine ranking, which in turn…
